Core metrics
The numbers AmICited reports, what each one measures, and exactly how it is calculated.
Metrics overview
The core AmICited metrics in one place: what each one measures, how it is calculated, and how to read them together to diagnose what is holding your AI visibility back.
Visibility score
The share of your tracked prompts in which AI engines name your brand at least once. The headline number on the dashboard.
Share of voice
Your share of all brand mentions in AI answers to your tracked prompts, measured against every brand the engines named, not only the competitors you track.
Average rank
Where your brand appears in the order of brands named in an AI answer, averaged over every answer that named you. Rank 1 means you were named first.
Mentions vs. citations
A mention is your brand named in the text of an AI answer. A citation is a URL the engine listed as a source. AmICited records both separately, and every metric is built from one or the other.
Share of citation
The share of all sources cited in AI answers to your prompts that point to a given domain or page. It shows whose content the engines actually build their answers from.
Not-ranked prompts
The tracked prompts where no AI answer named your brand during the selected period. The complement of your visibility score, and the most direct to-do list in AmICited.
