Workspace Credit Control Tools

Credit Controls separates the balance from the choices that govern it: a workspace spending cap where eligible, a low-balance alert threshold, optional automatic top-up, and history that makes a charge traceable to its context.

Credits are workspace-scoped operational balance; a specific feature discloses when its action consumes them.

Recharge Top up below threshold

Set an alert threshold to null to use the system default; a cap can also be removed with null.

Credit Caps, Alerts, and Recharge

Agency and Enterprise workspace owners can set or remove a credit-consumption limit. Owners and admins on every tier can set a low-balance threshold. Auto-recharge needs a paid subscription and payment method, then tops the workspace up by the configured amount once available balance falls below its configured threshold.

  • Alerts send email and in-app notifications.
  • Auto-recharge is an explicit setting, not an assumption from a paid plan.
  • Credit history and daily summaries let a team investigate consumption rather than infer it from a balance.
Usage is product-specific

Product Credit Usage

An import shows a backfill quote and ongoing storage charge before confirmation. Prompt and external AI work can be credit-gated. A read-only report is not described as a paid action merely because it displays data. This keeps an operational control page from collapsing very different product usage into one misleading meter.

Examples of charged work
Imports Quote then confirm
Prompt/AI runs Credit-gated
External MCP actions May cost credits
Report reads Not automatically a charge
A feature’s own UI or quote is the source of truth for its cost; this page does not invent one universal per-action rate.

Cap Eligible workspace owner
Alert Owner or admin
Recharge Owner or admin
Payment method Required for recharge
A cap does not replace provider-specific quota, connection permissions or a plan’s feature limits.
Authority and limitations

Workspace Credit Control Limits

Credit Controls cannot turn a non-credit product action into a charge, bypass a source provider’s quota, or grant a plan entitlement. It provides guardrails around the workspace credit lifecycle and leaves each feature’s cost disclosure where the decision occurs.

Let a workspace decide when credit use needs attention

Set a cap where eligible, receive a low-balance notice, or opt into a deliberate top-up policy.
