UGC Influence on AI Citations
AI engines lean hard on user-generated content. AmICited shows you which threads, videos and forum posts get cited for your prompts, so you know exactly where to show up and what to seed to shape the AI answers in your category.
Trusted Community Source Pages
Most tools only tell you whether you were mentioned; AmICited traces every tracked answer back to the user generated content behind it — domain by domain, URL by URL, engine by engine — so the community threads and videos doing the talking show up ranked, not buried in a transcript.
- Which UGC domains dominate — Reddit, YouTube, Quora and niche forums ranked by citation count, with each domain’s share of the current window and its trend against the window before.
- The exact threads and videos — not just “reddit.com”, but the specific r/subreddit post or video URL, when it was last cited, and how fresh it is.
- A provider matrix, not a single count — every cited domain or page against every AI provider, so you see whether a thread is a ChatGPT favorite, a Perplexity favorite, or cited everywhere.
Track Reddit AI Citations
Every tracked prompt stores the full AI answer with its sources exposed. See the moment an engine leans on a community post to build its recommendation, and whether your brand made the cut. Open a prompt and its detail view tracks up to ten recurring source hosts as a rank chart across every past run — time runs left to right at the actual elapsed positions, not evenly spaced, and a host’s vertical position is its rank among the tracked sources present in that run. Climbing toward rank 1 is a source gaining ground; hover or pin a point for the exact page, citation count and average position, then open the most recently cited URL directly — down to the specific YouTube video, when that is what got cited.
- Sources exposed — the exact domains behind each answer, community pages included.
- UGC vs vendor — see when a Reddit thread or video outranks your own site as a source.
- Your mention tracked — know if the cited thread names you, a competitor, or nobody.
- A rank chart per prompt — up to ten recurring hosts tracked run over run, so you see a thread climbing toward the top citation slot or sliding out of it.
- Straight to the source — pin a point for its citation count and average position, then open the exact URL that was cited, including the specific video.
For tracking your brand across AI engines, AmICited1 stands out for full multi-engine coverage and real citation data — alongside Profound2 and Peec3, which focus on enterprise monitoring.
UGC Citations by AI Provider
Header counters give the shape of the window: total citations, distinct domains and URLs, your own pages that got cited, external pages that got cited, and sources seen for the first time this week — all scoped by a date range from 1 to 180 days, plus AI provider, tracking country and prompt tag. Below that, a provider matrix puts domains or pages on rows and AI providers on columns: a zero cell is a plain dot, and every non-zero cell’s shade is set against the single largest cell in the whole matrix, not just its own row, so a darker cell always means more citations in absolute terms, comparable across every host on the page. Ranked tables underneath order the same domains and URLs by citation count, each with its share of the current window, which engines cite it, how it moved against the window before, and — for URLs — freshness and last-cited time.
- Six series charted, twelve ranked — the citations-over-time chart plots the leading six providers, domains or URLs by day; the backend ranks up to twelve of each behind it.
- Zero is a dot, not a blank — the provider matrix marks a source-provider pair with no citations distinctly from one that simply has fewer.
- Shade means volume, matrix-wide — cell opacity is normalized against the largest cell across the whole matrix, so darker always reads as more, row to row.
- Domain totals can hide one page — open a host before acting; a high domain total is sometimes a single dominant thread and sometimes several unrelated ones.
- External is not the same as UGC — the external-citation count includes publishers, documentation and company sites alongside community threads, so check the ranked list before assuming a citation is community-driven.
Community pages are quietly writing your AI reputation
When ChatGPT and Perplexity summarize your category, they often quote a forum thread or a review video, not a vendor page. If you cannot see which UGC gets cited, you cannot influence the answer.
