8.2. Obligations of the Data Controller

The Controller must ensure compliance with data protection laws, supervise processing activities, and provide necessary access to data.

9. Data Sharing Disclosures

Am I Cited shares data only with third-party services necessary for providing the AI visibility monitoring Services. No data is shared without user consent or legitimate business need.

Our Services involve querying various AI platforms to monitor brand visibility:

  • ChatGPT / OpenAI
  • Perplexity AI
  • Google AI / Gemini

Queries made to these platforms are performed on behalf of users to monitor AI responses. User account data is never shared with these AI platforms.

10. Data Retention and Deletion Policies

  • Monitoring Data: AI visibility reports and analytics are retained for up to 2 years or as specified by the user’s subscription plan.
  • Account Data: Retained for the duration of the account and for the legally required period after account closure.
  • Cached Data: Stored for a maximum of 14 days.
  • User-Initiated Deletion: Users can request deletion of all data at any time, and it will be processed within 30 days.
  • Backups: Stored securely on Amazon AWS S3 for 30 days.

11. Explicit Use of User Data

User data is exclusively used to provide and improve Am I Cited’s Services. It is not used for targeted advertising or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. All data is securely isolated within individual user accounts.
