ChatGPT Ads Management Tools

Build the campaign yourself in ChatGPT Ads Manager — campaigns, ad groups, context hints and creatives — then measure it against the organic citations you already have. ChatGPT Ads Intelligence is where you go once it’s live, for the account-wide reporting, outlier flags and budget pacing this workspace doesn’t cover.

ChatGPT Ads Paid Performance

Paid impressions come from whatever queries OpenAI matched your ad to. Organic visibility is measured over the prompts you chose to track. AmICited keeps both in view so you can answer the only question that matters: am I paying for a prompt I already win?

  • Full campaign management — everything you need to run ChatGPT ads: create campaigns, ad groups and ads, set daily or lifetime budgets, and pause or archive without leaving AmICited.
  • Context hints, not just keywords — target the natural-language questions your ad group should match, with AI-suggested hints and a semantic map of what ChatGPT actually derives.
  • Serving status and review status, kept separate — an ad can be active yet still get zero impressions because it is stuck in review or was rejected, so the workspace shows both instead of one number that hides the other.
  • Conversion tracking built in — a web pixel or server-side Conversions API key ties clicks to signups, trials or purchases, so campaigns can bid on outcomes, not just clicks.
  • Spend pacing and budget health — daily burn against budget, and a ‘where the money is going badly’ view judged against this campaign’s own averages.
Read it right before you act

Ad Serving and Review Status

An ad can be marked active and still get no impressions because it is stuck in review or was rejected outright. Resolve the review problem first — no amount of bid or copy tweaking fixes a creative that OpenAI has not approved yet. Once a set of ads is actually approved, the leaderboard’s CTR, CPC and spend sort orders let you compare like against like.

  • Two independent states — serving status (active, paused, archived) and review status (approved, in review, rejected) are shown separately so one never hides the other.
  • Leaderboard ranks approved performance — CTR and spend sort high to low, CPC sorts low to high, and creatives with no ratio yet sort last rather than tying for first.
  • Edits are not free — the API replaces the creative as a whole, so changing headline, body, target URL or image returns the ad to in_review and pauses delivery until it clears again; the interface warns before you save.
  • Creation requires an ad group — the backend needs that parent ID, so a new ad cannot be created from the account or campaign view, only once an ad group is selected.

The leaderboard joins performance with review status on purpose — a rejected ad should never be mistaken for one that is just underperforming.
Target by meaning, not keywords

ChatGPT Ads Query Matching

Context hints are natural-language questions, not keywords — so AmICited plots them against the fan-out queries ChatGPT actually derives and the page content behind each ad group, on the same semantic map used across the product. The map has no meaningful x- or y-axis values: nearby prompt, hint and page-heading points mean semantic similarity, and separation between your landing page and the intended demand is the signal to adjust hints, creative messaging or the destination page itself.

  • Prompts, hints and page content, one map — see where your targeting overlaps with what ChatGPT actually asks.
  • Regenerate on demand — rebuild the map after every hint change to confirm coverage.
  • Reuse the same clusters — the map that finds your organic content gaps targets your paid campaigns too.

Bid on outcomes

ChatGPT Ads Click Outcomes

A pixel or Conversions API key is only useful if it closes the loop. Define conversion events once and let campaigns bid on signups, trials or purchases directly — instead of optimizing for CTR alone.

  • Web pixel or Conversions API — measure from the browser or send events server-side.
  • Bid on outcomes — ad groups can target a conversion event, not just clicks.
  • Then follow it to revenue — connect Stripe or Shopify to attribute MRR back to the exact campaign.
