How to Find Prompts Where You're Not Ranked in AmICited
Use the Not Ranked counter on the AmICited dashboard to find the prompts where your brand never gets cited — your biggest, most actionable AI-visibility gaps.
The Not Ranked counter is arguably the most actionable number on the dashboard. It’s the count of tracked prompts where your brand was never cited — the questions your audience is asking AI assistants, that you’re currently invisible for.

Where to find it
It’s the last of the four counter cards below the headline metrics on the Dashboard, labelled NOT RANKED. In the example it shows 114 — “never cited yet” — with a ▼ -15.0 change versus the previous period.
What it means
Every tracked prompt is either one where you get cited (at least sometimes) or one where you don’t. Not Ranked counts the second group. A change like -15.0 is good news here — it means 15 fewer prompts are shut out than before, so you’ve started appearing for questions you previously missed entirely.
Why it matters
These prompts are your clearest opportunities:
- They’re questions people are already asking AI engines about your space.
- Someone is being cited for them — just not you.
- Winning even a few of them directly lifts your Visibility Score.
How to use it
- Treat it as a to-do list. Head to the Prompts section and sort by visibility so the not-ranked prompts rise to the top.
- See who’s winning them instead. Open a not-ranked prompt to view the actual AI answers and the sources being cited — that tells you what kind of content is expected.
- Close the gap with content. Generate an article in AmICited targeting those specific prompts, publish it, then watch the Not Ranked count fall on the next tracking run.
- Watch the trend. A steadily shrinking Not Ranked number is one of the clearest signals your AI-visibility work is paying off.
